DIVISION 05 · SUBSCRIPTION · 300 MI SERVICE RADIUS
Subscription Preventative Maintenance Programs
Scheduled visits from the people who installed it, before the failure instead of after.
Program tiers are recommended based on the needs of the facility. Service coverage radius is 300 miles from Sacramento.
Preventative maintenance is the first thing that gets skipped and the last thing that gets blamed
Every plant has a PM schedule. Most plants are behind on it, and everyone knows exactly why. The two people who could do it are covering breakdowns. The filters were ordered but nobody logged where they went. The safety interlock on the number three access door has been bypassed since a shift lead did it in a hurry, and nobody has verified it since.
Agitate: None of that shows up on a report. It shows up as an unplanned shutdown in the middle of a production run, at the worst week of the year, on equipment that gave four months of warning nobody was scheduled to look for.
The full detail
The cost is not the part. The part is cheap and it is on a shelf somewhere. The cost is the hours the line was down, the product in process, and the overtime to catch back up.
And the safety exposure is worse, because a bypassed interlock is invisible right up until it is a recordable.
Solution: A scheduled outside crew, on a subscription, with a written scope and photo documentation. Not a service call. A calendar item that happens whether or not your maintenance team had a bad week.

What every program includes
Straight from the client's service definition.
| Included | Detail |
|---|---|
| Scheduled preventative maintenance visits | On a fixed interval, planned around your production calendar |
| Replacement of filters, belts, and agreed-upon consumable components | Consumables defined in the program scope, stocked and installed on the visit |
| Equipment lubrication and minor adjustments | Lubrication schedule, tensioning, alignment checks, minor corrections |
| Verification of safety devices and interlocks | Confirmed functional, documented, and reported when they are not |
| Facility condition assessment and reporting | Written report per visit |
| Photographic documentation of deficiencies or concerns | Photos of what we found, so a decision can be made with evidence |
Program tiers are recommended based on the needs of the facility. We size the tier after a walkthrough. A single production cell on a two-shift schedule and a full plant running seven days are not the same program.
- 300 mi
- Maintenance program service radius from Sacramento
- Every visit
- Written report with photo documentation
- 100%
- Safety devices and interlocks verified each visit
What the photo documentation is actually for
This is the part clients underestimate.
- It settles the argument about whether a deficiency was there last quarter
- It gives a maintenance manager evidence to justify a capital request
- It gives EH&S a dated record of safety-device verification
- It gives a plant manager a picture of the corroded support instead of a sentence about it
- It builds a condition history, so degradation is visible as a trend instead of a surprise
We already have the drawings
When we designed the equipment, fabricated the supports, or ran the install, we know what the anchor pattern is, which bearing is the hard one to reach, why that guard is removable, and what the alignment was on day one.
An outside maintenance vendor spends the first three visits learning your plant. We spend them working.
That said, we do not require that we installed it. Programs are available on equipment we did not touch.
What is in and what is not
| Included in a program | Handled separately |
|---|---|
| Scheduled visits on the agreed interval | Emergency breakdown response (available, quoted separately) |
| Agreed consumables: filters, belts, lubricants | Major component replacement |
| Minor adjustments and alignment checks | Rebuilds and overhauls |
| Safety device and interlock verification | Corrective repairs identified during a visit |
| Condition assessment and photo reporting | Capital upgrades and retrofits |
Deficiencies found during a visit are documented and quoted. We do not perform unapproved repair work and add it to the invoice.
The compliance overlap
Facility condition assessment is where the fall-protection problem usually surfaces first. In California, fixed ladders over 20 feet are in scope under Cal/OSHA 8 CCR §3277(g)(2), stricter than the federal 24-foot trigger under 29 CFR 1910.28(b)(9). And any ladder section you replace today has to meet the current standard, which is the trigger most facilities miss.
A condition assessment gives you the ladder inventory, the heights, and photos, which is the first half of a retrofit plan.

Common questions
How far do you travel for maintenance programs?
300 miles from Sacramento. That is a smaller radius than our 600-mile installation and rigging coverage, and the difference is deliberate: a maintenance program means showing up on a schedule, repeatedly, for years. We hold the radius where we can actually keep that commitment. If your plant is outside 300 miles, we can still install, fabricate, and rig there. See service area.
Do you only maintain equipment you installed?
No. Programs are available on equipment we did not install or build. Knowing the equipment helps, and we will spend the first visit learning it, but it is not a requirement.
What does a maintenance program cost?
Program tiers are recommended based on the needs of the facility, and the tier is sized after a walkthrough. The drivers are the equipment count, the visit frequency, the consumables scope, and the travel distance.
What happens if you find something broken?
It goes in the report with photos, and we quote the correction. We do not perform unapproved work and bill for it. If it is a safety issue, you hear about it before we leave the site rather than in the report a week later.
Can you work around our production schedule?
Yes, and that is standard. Visits are planned around your production calendar, including off-hours and weekend scheduling when a scope needs equipment stopped. Working inside live facilities is what the whole company does.
Do you cover emergency breakdowns?
Emergency response is quoted separately rather than bundled into the subscription.
Start with a walkthrough
We look at the equipment, the access, and the current PM schedule, then recommend a tier. No obligation to subscribe.
