Send drawings, a photo, or three sentences describing the problem. All three work.
We answer with questions before we answer with a number, because the questions are what make the number real.

The fastest path to a real number
Equipment installation. The equipment general arrangement drawing or installation manual, weights and dimensions, the target location, your available shutdown windows, and photos of the space and the access route.
Custom equipment. Describe the process step, the throughput rate, the inputs, what goes wrong today, and who is doing it by hand. Do not start with the machine you have pictured.
The full detail
Structural steel and fabrication products. Dimensions or linear footage, what it mounts to, indoor or outdoor, the environment, and whether it needs to pass an inspection. Photos of the existing condition beat a description.
Enclosures. What goes in the room, what that equipment gives off, the cleaning regime, and any classification determination that has already been made.
Utility tie-ins. The utility requirements page from the equipment manual, plus a photo of the nearest header, panel, or drain.
Fixed ladder fall protection. How many fixed ladders you have and roughly how tall, counted at 20 feet rather than 24. If you do not know, say so. Finding out is step one and we can do it.
Maintenance programs. The equipment list, the current PM schedule if one exists, and your production calendar.
EPC projects. The capital request or the project description. Earlier is better, and a paragraph in a budget is a better starting point than a completed drawing set.

Our side of the process
1. We read it and call you. Usually with questions, because most RFQs are missing at least one thing that changes the price.
2. We site walk anything with field scope. Before the quote hardens. Access, clearances, existing utilities, structural capacity, and whatever is actually in the way.
The full detail
3. We quote it with the scope written down. What is in, what is not, and where the assumptions are. Scope boundaries defined at the start are the reason projects finish without arguments.
4. If it is not a fit, we say so. Too small, too far, or a job better served by a different kind of contractor. We would rather tell you in week one than take a job neither of us should want.

Common questions
How quickly will you respond?
We reply to every request. For anything time-sensitive, particularly a shutdown window or an equipment delivery date, call (916) 842-7402 rather than using the form.
What information do you need to give me a price?
It depends on the scope, and the "what to send" section above breaks it down by project type. In general: dimensions or quantities, what it attaches to or interfaces with, the environment, whether an inspection or permit is involved, and when it has to be done. If you have none of that, call and describe it and we will tell you what to go measure.
Can I send drawings and photos?
Yes, and please do. Drawings, spec sheets, equipment installation manuals, site photos, inspection or correction notices, and phone pictures of the space are all useful. A photo of the actual condition is frequently worth more than a drawing set, because the drawing shows what was intended and the photo shows what is there.
Do you provide references and insurance certificates?
Yes, on request during a bid.
We are outside your service radius. Should we still call?
Yes, particularly for design and fabrication, which are nationwide with no radius. For field work outside 600 miles, the usual arrangement is that we design and build it and a local contractor installs, which works well. Call and we will tell you honestly whether the mobilization makes sense.
Or just call
Most of this gets sorted faster in a five-minute phone call than in a form.
